Mayorkun – Of lagos audio download
Popular Nigerian singer, songwriter and pianist, Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel known professionally as Mayorkun, who was discovered on Twitter by Davido when he posted a cover of Davido’s previous jam of 2016 “The Money” featuring YBNL Boss Olamide. soon, Davido signed Mayorkun to Davido’s DMW that same year 2016, where he released his first deput tagged “Eleko” in the same year.
Mayowa or Mayorkun was born and raised in Osun State Nigeria. He is listed as the first child of three, born into a family of entertainers. Mayorkun His mother is a Nollywood actress and his father, an artist and movie producer. Mayorkun was part of the choir at a very young age where he learnt the rudiments of music. He has a degree in accounting from the University of Lagos, and was in a banking job before he was discovered in 2016.
Mayorkun decided to quit his bank job, when his cover video was spotted by Davido in 2016. Soon, Mayorkun got a call from Davido the same day he wrote his resignation letter. Then, he sent Davido some of the jams he had already recorded, Davido listened to the jams, and he decided not the late Mayorkun‘s talent slip away. Mayorkun was signed into DMW a short while after he sent his songs to Davido.
Mayorkun released his deput jam “Eleko” that same year in 2016, followed by the video that smashed over a million views in the first 10 days.
Mayorkun is now ready to unleash another brand new jam tagged “Of lagos” following his previous “Onome” where he was featured by DJ ECool, Dremo and Zlatan. check out the freestyle video he posted on Instagram below!
